Here we will describe the different types of lighting upgrades we offer and a brief installation overview of the items. OEM Replacement Fog Lights
These aftermarket fog lights are designed to be an exact copy of the stock fog lights that came equipped in your vehicle. These are primarily for plug and play replacement of damaged or defective lights and not as an upgrade for non fog light equipped vehicles. If your vehicle did not come equipped with the fog lights the installation will require that you wire them to a switch in the drivers cabin or purchase the oem fog light switch and harness from your local car dealership. Installation is typically 15-30 minutes depending on the vehicle and the fog light removal procedure. Projector Head Lights
Projector head lights are a direct replacement for the factory equipped head lamp housings. Typically the installation follows the stock head light removal and installation procedures. Projector head lights often use different bulbs than the stock units but the new head light harness will plug into the factory head light harness. On most vehicles you remove the pigtail harness that plugs into the actual light bulbs on the oem head light and the projector head light will plug in to the socket that the pig tail harness was plugged into. Projector head lights are popular for their improved lighting output and styling that finds them factory equipped on many high end and european automobiles. Most projector head lights are available in black, chrome, or titanium interior finishes. Installation is typically 15-30 minutes depending on the vehicle and the head light removal procedure. Euro Head Lights
Euro head lights are usually designed similar to a factory head light but feature a clear lens rather than a reflector style lens designed to disperse the light. The corner lights which are amber in US Spec vehicles are usually clear on euro head lights giving them a cleaner look. Often the euro lights are also available in chrome or black interior finishes. Installation is typically 15-30 minutes depending on the vehicle and the head light removal procedure. Halo Head Lights
Halo head lights also referred to as "angel eyes" were first popularized by BMW and features a glowing ring that surrounds the projector or halogen capsule. We offer halo head lights in both projector and euro style applications and will use a 2 wire hookup when installing these in the vehicle. The black wire is the ground side and can be grounded to the chasis of the vehicle within 8-12" of the head light. The other wire which will be either white, red, or green will be the power source for the halo ring and can be hooked up to a toggle switch installed in the vehicle or can be wired to the parking light wire in the factory lighting harness in the vehicle. We suggest the use of a relay when tapping into the parking light circuit and we have a diagram available upon request. Installation is typically 30-45 minutes including the wiring. LED Tail Lights
LED Tail lights began gaining popularity in the last few years and has become standard equipment on many new vehicles as well as next generation vehicles in development. Rather than using halogen bulbs that can go out every year and need to be replaced LED lights use dozens of small Light Emitting Diodes that project a brighter light using less energy and lasting a longer lifespan. LED Tail lights are available in a range of styles including chrome, black, red, and smoked finishes. Installation is a simple plug and play eith the factory harness in your vehicle. Most tail lights are a 15 minute installation unless your vehicle requires removal of the rear bumper to access the tail light bolts. Euro Tail Lights
Euro tail lights became highly popular in the late 1990's and continued their popularity through today. Originally found on the Toyota Altezza / Lexus IS300 euro tail lights are now available for nearly every vehicle out there. Euro tail lights are available in various styles and finishes including carbon fiber, black, smoked, red, red/clear, and more. Installation is a simple plug and play eith the factory harness in your vehicle. Most tail lights are a 15 minute installation unless your vehicle requires removal of the rear bumper to access the tail light bolts. HID Conversion Upgrades
HID technology was only being used by high end and european manufacturers until the last few years when the domestic automakers started using them in the luxury and premium vehicle lines. Now with the quality and ease of install on HID Conversion kits for just over $200 you can upgrade your stock halogen lights to HID format. The kits feature an easy plug and play install that takes between 15-30 minutes for most vehicles. What is HID? HID, High Intensity Discharge, refers to lighting technology that relies on an electrical charge to ignite xenon gas in a sealed bulb, similar to the lightning phenomenon in the sky. HID lighting does not have a filament but instead creates light by igniting an electrical discharge between two electrodes in an air tight tiny quartz capsule filled with xenon gas. HID lighting are also called Xenon lighting, referring to the gas inside the bulb. For more info on HID lighting please visit our HID Buyers Guide. |
